gnome-backgrounds software package provides Set of backgrounds packaged with the GNOME desktop, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-backgrounds
gnome-backgrounds is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-backgrounds package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-backgrounds *
You will get with gnome-backgrounds package name, version, architecture and description in a table
